What type of food do you serve?

SUSHISAMBA is a union of Japanese, Brazilian and Peruvian culture and cuisine. We have two separate kitchens, the SAMBA kitchen – serving Japanese-influenced South American cuisine – and the Sushi Bar – offering classic sushi and sashimi and SAMBA-inspired seviches, tiraditos and SAMBA rolls. Furthermore, we offer signature SAMBA cocktails as well as an extensive sake and wine list.

Do I need a reservation?

Reservations are highly recommended. You can make a reservation over the phone or directly through our website.

Are you open during holidays?

SUSHISAMBA is open during all holidays; Christmas, Thanksgiving, New Year’s, etc. However, special holiday hours may apply.

What year did SUSHISAMBA open?

SUSHISAMBA park in New York was the first location to open in the fall of 1999. SUSHISAMBA 7, also in New York, opened in 2000 followed by SUSHISAMBA dromo in Miami in 2001, SUSHISAMBA rio in Chicago in 2003, SUSHISAMBA strip in Las Vegas in 2008 and SUGARCANE raw bar grill in Miami in 2010. We opened our first European location in London in the summer of 2012 as well as a new restaurant, Duck & Waffle. We’re opening a second SUSHISAMBA location in Miami in Coral Gables, Florida this spring.

Who designed the restaurants?

Both SUSHISAMBA New York locations, park and 7, as well as SUSHISAMBA dromo in Miami were designed by Scott Kester and Nancy Ma. SUSHISAMBA rio in Chicago was designed by architect David Rockwell of New York’s Rockwell Group and SUSHISAMBA strip in Las Vegas by ICRAVE. CetraRuddy designed SUSHISAMBA London.

What is SAMBAHOUR?

SAMBAHOUR is designed to celebrate the culinary and cultural inspirations of SUSHISAMBA as we take our guests on a journey across the globe – ‘upgrading’ Happy Hour standards to first class flavor! We offer inventive fare, beverage specials and surprise entertainment – from contests, lessons and holiday celebrations to unique, cultural performances – Happy Hour will never be the same.

SAMBAHOUR is offered Sunday – Thursday (SUSHISAMBA Miami) and Sunday – Friday (Las Vegas, Chicago and 7 and park) from 4 – 7pm and again from 11pm – close (10pm – close in Chicago).

Are the rooftops open year-round?

Our rooftop gardens in both NYC (7th Ave South) and Chicago (River North) are open year-round. Both rooftop locations are enclosed and heated in the winter, open and al fresco in the spring, and air conditioned on the hottest days of summer.

Do you have non-alcoholic drinks?

Yes, our Signature Mocktails include the Açai Fizz (açai, passion fruit and mango), the Coco Leite (coconut milk, pineapple and mango), the Watermelon Mojo (watermelon, lime and guava) and more.

Do you have a children’s menu?

Yes, our SAMBAKIDS’ menu features delicious and nutritious items for your little ones, including the SAMBA Sliders (two mini burgers served with sweet potato fries and seasonal fruit) and Sushi Bites (four bite-sized rice balls topped with tuna, yellowtail, salmon and cucumber served with a veggie roll and seasonal fruit). It’s $12 per meal, which includes dessert.

Are there vegetarian options on your menu?

Yes, we have vegetarian options that include the Heirloom Tomato and Seaweed Salad, Eggplant and Mustard Miso Anticuhos and Quinotto. We also offer a tasting menu with all vegetarian dishes.

Lunch is served daily at SUSHISAMBA NYC and Chicago. Lunch special are offered at SUSHISAMBA Miami and Las Vegas.

Do you serve brunch?

Brunch is served every Saturday and Sunday from 11:30-4pm.

What is the process for ordering a cake from you?

We have pastry chefs who would love to collaborate with you on an extra special cake or specialty dessert – we recommend at least 48 hours notice for this. If you choose to have our pastry chef make the cake, we’ll need your name and phone number so he/she can get in touch with you regarding the details of the cake. However, if you would like to bring in a cake for your special occasion, we are happy to provide platters, plates etc. and serve it up for you. Please note that we charge a plate fee of up to $4.00 per person.

What is your corkage fee?

You are welcome to bring your own wine or sake to any of our U.S. locations; the corkage fee ranges from $25 – $35 depending on the locations.

How do I go about making a reservation for a large party?

We do! When you arrive at any SUSHISAMBA location, one of the managers will be more than happy to assist you. You can also visit our online shop and purchase them there. In addition to the general SUSHISAMBA gift cards, we also offer SUSHI & SAKE 101 gift cards. Gift cards do not expire and are only valid at U.S. locations.
